Suzanne
Schmuhl-Koller feels as if she’s been in the real estate field since her
childhood! She dreamed of becoming an agent as a girl, and while spending her
summers on Cape Cod would insist that her parents take her to Open Houses. In a
way she’s been watching the market since age 5!
On a more serious note, Suzanne has achieved great success in her true career as
a Real Estate consultant. She obtained her license over 7 years ago, while she
was a student at UMASS Amherst. While at University. Suzanne studied Restaurant
Management, which gave her the wonderful service and business background so
crucial to her real estate business today. As soon as she graduated (with
honors) , she hit the ground running, and in her first year won many awards from
her company, and from her real estate board was presented with the coveted
“Rookie of the Year” award.
Suzanne, approaching her 8th year as a Realtor, attributes her successful and
award winning career to her passion for homes and more importantly for people
and relationships. She never loses sight of her role- as a guide, a mentor, an
advocate- to her clients as they deal with one of the largest investments of
their lives. She says “Exceeding expectations and making dreams come true is
what this is about to me- it’s more than selling homes. It’s about people,
families- and their hopes and dreams. I believe in relationships based on trust,
knowledge and expertise, and it shows in all that I do for my clients!”
Suzanne also notes that this business is indeed “in her blood”. Her Grandfather,
Augie Schmuhl, owned his own real estate company for years, ultimately selling
it the year Suzanne was born. But she always admired him and had a special
kinship with him, and she says “he was thrilled when I chose this as a life long
career. He shared some of the best business advice with me before he passed away
3 years ago, which will stay with me always”
In 2007 Suzanne’s career hit a new high note. She was named to Realtor
Magazine’s annual “30 Under 30” list, an extremely prestigious honor. Her team,
Suzanne and Co, had a record setting year in sales despite the local market
conditions. She was also involved, along with her husband, in the successful
purchase, rehab and sale of an investment property in Littleton. On top of all
this, her most important and amazing accomplishment was the birth of her first
baby in September of 2007.
On a personal note-Suzanne married Ryan Koller, her college sweetheart, in June
of 2005. They have been renovating a Historic Home in Bedford center for the
past few years, and this passion for older homes has helped Suzanne create the
newest division of her business, “Homes With a Past”, which specializes in
marketing, locating and analyzing unique homes built prior to 1945. Suzanne and
Ryan also enjoy spending time with their baby daughter, June, and German
Shorthaired Pointer. Stella.
