Happy Spring!
Is it finally here? After a slow start the RE market seems to have spouted as well. Sellers are setting more realistic prices and buyers are making offers in return.
Are you thinking about selling? Or you just want to spruce up your own home this Spring? Here are the top 5 things I would suggest you do to prepare:
1. DeClutter! Spring clean! Purge things from closets, garages, basements and attics. Donate or recycle what you can. Try your local FreeCycle Group on yahoo!
2. Remove wallpaper and give rooms fresh paint! Don't forget the ceilings! A bit of color is good- just keep it low key!
3. Do a spring yard clean up. Get rid of all those sticks that came down. Rake the lawn. Add pansies to flower boxes and beds out front.
4. Check exterior for wood rot and loose roof shingles and siding that may have become problematic over the winter.
5. Wash those windows! Let that sunshine pour in!
